I've been running in Kinvaras for years and have owned every number since 3. I was not a big fan of the last few models - 10 and 11 - the tongue was too big and padded and the overall feel was just not quite as good as the 7 and 9 models.Even though I've only run in them twice I can tell this new model - 12 - is one of the best! The tongue is thin and conforms to the top of the foot perfectly. They feel like the old kinvaras - light and fast! Time will tell how they hold up but if they do - I'm buying at least another pair :-)**update**8-23-2021The model 12 is my favorite Kinvara ever! They still look/feel great after about 400 miles.
