I am wearing Mephisto for the last 15 years. Unfortunately, they change models very often. The Davy is not as pictured on the Amazon site because the leather is smooth, not textured. They fit more or less OK but the leather, especially, at the heel is very rigid and the opening is uncharacteristically small. I had a hard time putting my feet in the shoes. However, once there they felt OK. Looks like they need some break-up, which was not needed with previous models.I love these shoes. They are really comfortable! The only thing I don't like (besides it not being the sexiest looking shoe) is the Mephisto Label on the shoe. When I got them from the shoe store last time the guy happily cut it off and told me he cuts them off for most people. Now that i bought them on amazon I'm scared to cut it off myself.If Mephisto made comfortable and nice looking shoes I may not mind being a walking advertisement. Being that they are only comfortable I'm not that excited letting everyone know that I'm wearing Mephistos!!I love that the leather breathes, preventing my feet from sweating. An awesome pair of shoes.It fits for allAfter back surgery, the easy on, easy off feature of these loafers is helpful. The considerable cushioning for the heel strike is important to me.The product is very good. I had a similar shoe bought several years ago and served me very well. Still I had to return for choosing the wrong size. Mephisto sizes are half number larger. So, if you need, as I needed 9.5M, you should ask for 9M and you will fill perfect. Do not avoid this shoe for a high price, you will recompensed with a shoe that you will love.My husband absolutly loves these shoes .hes on his feet seven days a week and loves themI knew I’d need a small (slicing) arch support insert when ordering these (have had a pair of Edlef for 7 years and these are the next walking show step up; they also need the little inserts) but the unmatched leather, construction, durability, balance, and style make this the best choice for my C-D width feet. I bought black and brown at the same time from this vendor. Excellent experience.Would like a better looking ( not so dull) uppers.Ich habe vor ca. 30 Jahren schon Mephisto-Schuhe getragen. Diese hatten zwar einen Touch von Wanderschuhen oder waren allgemein nicht ganz so modisch, aber sie waren unverwüstlich.Alle Nähte hielten, das Leder war nach vielen Jahren noch gut bis auf ein paar Falten, keine Klebung hat sich gelöst, die Sohle war sehr abriebfest. Die Passform immer bequem und angenehm beim Laufen mit der Luftpolsterung. Sie kosteten damals ca. 200 DM. Ein paar Mephisto Slipper hat mal versehentlich länger im Regen gelegen. Ich habe sie an der Heizung getrocknet und danach wieder eingefettet mit normaler Schuhcreme. Alles gut.Wenn ich mir diese neuen Slipper in 2020 ansehe, hat sich die Qualität meines Erachtens auf diesem hohen Niveau gehalten. Immer noch beste Verarbeitung, sie passen direkt bequem, ohne sie einlaufen zu müssen. Andere Schuhe haben z.B. scharfe Kanten an der Ferse oder den Seiten, oder die Oberseite kneift in den Fuß beim Abrollen, das nervt dann sehr. Und die Sohle quietscht auch hier nicht nervig auf glatten Böden wie bei anderen Herstellern.Diese Mephisto kosten ca. 130 EUR. Gut tragbar, auch im Büro. Schnell angezogen. Fazit: Mephisto kosten etwas mehr, sind aber ziemlich haltbar und sind sehr bequem. Feines Leder, wie gesagt.Essendo un vecchio utilizzatore delle calzature in questione; non posso fare altro che confermare la eccellenza del prodottoMephisto sind überhaupt die bequemsten Schuhe auf dem Markt. Und trotzdem sehen sie - wie dieses Modell - auch noch gut ausDieser Schuh ist teuer, die Gesamtkonstruktion ist für einen Lederschuh viel zu hart und fest. Er zwingt den Fuß in seine Form, statt sich schmiegsam dem Fuß anzupassen. Deshalb Rücksendung und keine Kaufempfehlung!
