I checked "fit as expected," because I had read that these shoes run a bit small. They do. I normally wear a 39 or at most 40, and I ordered these in a 41: they fit perfectly. I also have another pair of shoes from the same company, also size 41, and they also fit, so I assume that buying one size larger than normal street shoe size would probably work for any Pearl Izumi women's cycling shoes.I took these out for an hour-and-a-half ride yesterday. The right shoe was fine, but I noticed a bit of a hot spot over the cleat in the left shoe. I loosened up the middle strap and it was fine. The shoes do have a bit of arch support, which I need, and I found them to be really comfortable. These shoes are great, but they definitely run small. I had to buy a second pair in a larger size to fit my right foot. I normally wear size 8.5 in street shoes, but I got these in size 41 for my left foot and 42 for my right. For me it is a length issue, as my feet are narrow with long toes. In the summer, I really like how cool they are with the air flowing through them.I bought these as a Christmas present for my girlfriend who just entered the cycling craze! Instead of paying $3/session, I broke down and bought her these. After purchasing off Amazon reviews and the ranting of other riders, I can report that my girlfriend is a very satisfied camper. I would recommend these to anyone who is a beginner in the sport and does not want to break the bank for some good quality shoes. The shoes were ordered for my wife per the on line sizing chart provided in order to translate US size to European size. It was stated on some of the previous reviews that these shoes ran small so I ordered a full size larger. What arrived looked as though they were for a child. I returned the shoes and attempted a second order another size larger with the same result. The shoes did come larger but still much too small to get my wife's foot into. They seem like very good shoes but after 2 attempts and 2 times paying shipping to return the merchandise I am through with ordering this item online and will purchase a different brand from a brick and mortar store.I tried these but with my bunion they still squished my toes. The quality is up to Pearl Izumi so if you have a regular wide foot give them a try. I had to send them back and will continue with my mountain shoesI only use these shoes for spin class. I'm not brave enough to try them on a bike yet. But they really help control my feet during class. They fit as I expected and I love them.Working out well, purchased to use with my Peloton spin bike, no problem attaching cleats that came with the bike. Bought 1/2 size larger. These spin shoes run small but they are comfortable if you go up two sizes. They look nice too.Awesome
